Training & Engagement Manager
Marcellette A. Orange joins the Center for Community Safety, as Training and Engagement Manager.
In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day and long-term development, management, results and accountability of the CCS Training Business Unit.
Her professional career includes 24 years of stellar service to the YMCA. She served in various positions during her YMCA career including Childcare Director, Program Director, Associate Vice President, and in her last position, she served as a Leadership Development Consultant with the YMCA of the USA. Marcellette served YMCAs in Kansas City, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee; Winston-Salem North Carolina; and Cincinnati, Ohio. In her last position with the YMCA of the USA, serving as a Leadership Development Consultant, she developed training events for staff and volunteers in a four-state region and provided leadership to Campus YMCAs across the country. Marcellette states that during her career, the most personally rewarding accomplishments include community development in under-served and under-resourced communities.
Marcellette is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She received a BS degree in Secondary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a member of the Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she holds several leadership positions. Her personal motto is “Live to Serve, Serve to Lead.” Her free time is spent enjoying her two granddaughters.
